Cost: Split gas with drivers

Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous (~28 km roundtrip; ~650 m elevation gain)

What to bring: Lots of water, lunch and plenty of snacks, hiking gear, a jacket (may be chilly at the top), sunblock

Description: Paulus McBurnett will lead a day hike to Caliente Peak, the highest peak in the Caliente Mountains, and one that affords spectacular vistas overlooking the Carrizo Plain and the San Andreas fault.
